Shapely furniture in leather, glass and marble features in this new home, designed for a couple with a love of minimalism and an eye for craftsmanship. I worked with The Stylesmiths for this project - their focus on simplfying the Interior Design process made the whole project flow so smoothly.

Furnishing a whole home while planning for the future can feel daunting but my clients and I made a great team and moodboards, samples and schedules gradually became pieces of furniture, then rooms and finally a home to live in.

The wife’s families tradition holds that the couple must start their housekeeping life with a new set of sheets to ensure a happy marriage.

Crisp cotton sateen, layered with a throw from Country Road and textural cushions, fills this requirement with distinction.

In the home office, the couples vision was for a floating desk, with no dividers to impede movement between the two (and sometimes three) computers.

Furniture by Page cabinet makers were able to create a minimal desk by using cutaway supports and a fixed wall panel.

Timber toned shelves in Polytec Marni Lini and Stylish matt black handles by Kethy add interest to the floating shelves.

So small that we couldn’t photograph, I wanted to included the main bedroom wardrobe here as it’s wonderful what we fitted into the space. Customised to the owners’ lifestyles, it was fitted with double hanging rails with minimal support posts for maximum storage. A full length shelf can store hats and overnight bags. An awkward niche was fitted with a custom bank of drawers with a place to hide special jewllery away.
